Here is the weekly progress and plan for my comp 3 project.
Here is plan my teacher made for us to keep track of where we should be:
Reflection:
This plan my teacher made was very useful for me to track our progress and timing, because I was able to know if my team and I are behind with work or if we were at a steady pace. The weekly progress wasn't as much as help as the plan, I barely find any use of reflecting on the progress every week, because I don't need reminder of what has been done. The only use I find with weekly progress reflection is everytime I'm reflecting I realized what I haven't done, so I was able to prioritize the next tasks needed to be done.
WEEK 1
- Introduced to the music video project
- Chose team
- Started research into the industry
Problems: I am absent (overseas)
Solutions: I worked online
To-Do: Continue researching the industry and preliminary research.
I'm enjoying myself in Adelaide, well it is actually for church fellowship. I try my best to keep myself updated with my team and school work by asking questions and starting projects earlier than everybody in class.
WEEK 2
- Started Genre research
Problems: I am still absent (overseas)
Solutions: I contacted and communicate with my friend online via Whatsapp
To-Do: Continue my previous research and plan with the team what music we're doing.
I'm still doing the same strategy as in week one, but a lot more communicating with the team.
Once again, I'm enjoying myself and is very happy, I was actually able to put in more work than i am in school.
WEEK 3
- Continued genre research with team
- Discussed different genres of music and which song to choose
Problems: Agreeing on a genre of music and a song
Solutions: Came to an agreement by discussing the pros and cons of each genre and proposed songs with all team members.
To-Do: Continue music research
I have returned back to school and we finally was able to discussed in detail head-on about the our music video. A lot of heated debate but we were able to agree on the same basis. I'm glad everyhting worked out.
Week 4
- We did the mood board for our music video
- We started our storyboard
Problems: Took time to come up with ideas to put into the statement of intent and choosing a persona on the star of the music video
Solutions: We refer back to previous work of our own to help make the statement of intent, and we research more about the star through some quick references online.
To-Do: Finish the statement of intent.
I decided that I will lead the making of the storyboard, as I am quite experienced and I was also the one who made the storyboard for our previous project together. We have a lot in hand and a lot more tasks to complete. There was a problem that we had to go through as a team, we almost split up, but we manage to pull it through and sticked together. I believe we became stronger as a team more than ever; everyone started to work more seriously.
WeeK 5

Problems: We try to find people to be part of our screen test
Solutions: Casting everyone in our class in a screen test that we all did together as a class
To-Do: Completing all the unfinished work for the week based on the schedule the teacher gave before deadline
I'm very happy this week, as we are on track with the schedule. I might even say that we are going faster than intended, however to not get overwhelmed by trying to fit in so much in just a few weeks we will postpone any filming in mind to after the exams.
WEEK 6

- Learnt about camera, mise-en-scene, sounds, and edits through classwork and theory lessons
Problems: Finding time to do all the remaining tasks
Solutions: Creating a priority tasks list and also delegating work to other members.
To-Do: Finishing the storyboard, filming schedule and genre research.
This week was quite the busy week for me, as I have the bigger tasks in the team alongside with one other member. We worked very extra for the team and managed to get a lot of the minor tasks done. Our major tasks isn't done yet but everything is close to finish. I believe we'll finish it early next week.
WEEK 7 - DEADLINE

Problems: Finisihing individual work on the blog post before the deadline
Solutions: We make sure all project work is done so all that is left to do is individual work like blog writing and layouting.

I'm all done with the blog work, and I hope for the best. I pray for a good score so that this graded project will hopefully cover my lost grades on one project I did. I'm very optimistic that the final product gets a good reaction.
WEEK 8 (New Semester)
- Me and the class did a mini project, creating a music video of a snippet from a music.

WEEK 9

This week was great becuse even though I was absent on some day due to hinderance, I was able to participate and not get left behind. I'm very appriciative of my friends for being supportive and helpful, as well as my teacher for being chill and reasonable regarding my absence. My teacher brief me on what I missed and should do forward.
WEEK 10
- Started the research of branding and persona for our artist

- Discussed persona for artist
Problems: We had inconsistency within the persona and branding of our artist
Solutions: We discussed the primary goal of the reading of our artist, and revised accordingly.
To-Do: Start developing our artist presence in social media
Reflection:
This week's work was very fun for me to do, because I enjoy creating persona and fictional characters, essentially anything that involves creativity. We made a lot of jokes since J Muse is essentially our friend, Jaden, so there was lots of laughter during work at class. I think we did a good job deciding on the persona of our artist. Digipack was a hassle, because research requires a lot of writing. One of my team member, Jaden, was working on the digipack research, and I had to step in to help him with writing, because there's a lot to research and documentation needed to be done.
WEEK 11

- My team started production of File Organisation Section

- I started post production which is the editing aspect
Problems: The filmed scenes looks akwards to me when I try editing it with the music, so I couldn't continue editing as it my mind isn't flowing good.
Solutions: I'll find other days to edit the music video, maybe I'll get a light bulb moment.
To-Do: Finish all current tasks at hand.
Reflection:
This week is very busy, a lot of things needs to be done. I feel anxious about the music video, I'm afraid we'll need to reshoot almost every scenes- I'm in a dilema. Anyways, working with the team online via Whatsapp is starting to get overwhelming due to many heated arguements. I'm thinking of leaving the team as I am very annoyed and I can't continue working under these circumstances (provocation, pressure, and stupid and pointless arguements). I will be requesting my departure from my current team and create a new one with my teacher.

Finale verdict, I'm still in the same team and we'll be continuing to work together until finish. Me and the team has made rules and agreements so that we can work together and every task can be done smoothly, hopefully this will consolidate the team to a better direction. After returning to the group and continuing discussion the working space has become a lot better and less toxic. The team and I have decided to revise the storyboard, so I had to draw a new stroyboard. We finished revising the stroryboard, it didn't took me that long, I feel very fulfilled in finishing it. Now, we need to find time (which is very hard arranging it) and schedule the shooting date for the new scenes.

The deadline is coming very soon, and we haven't finish a lot! I'm starting to get worried because I haven't done a lot of progress on the music video. However, I got new footage I can work with in the editing for the MV, these new scenes will make it less awkward and more flexible for me during editing. One problem, me and team still havent shoot the final scene which will take the longest due to long driving distance, and specific time of day, we need the sunset. Our island is experiencing some weather problems, it can rain on the most randomest times, which will eliminate the sunset that we needed for the scene. I'm getting worried we won't make it in time in finishing the MV. However, I'm keeping in mind that I'll have to worry about writing my CR as well, luckily my teacher had us write a plan for it. I wrote a lot in my plan which will definitely help later on during the writing process.

Problems: The project is coming into an end, but we haven't finish most of it.
Solutions: Plan ahead of time which we should prioritize and work on.

Reflection:
I hardly find time to do final filming so it has got to be done next week which is very troublesome since next week lies the deadline. So, I had confirmed the filming days on Monday and Tuesday, before Wednesday. It should be enough for me to add the missing scenes.
WEEK 16
Problems: Finishing the unfinished.
Solutions: Turning on focus mode. I will not be sleeping good for a day to finish all remaining tasks.
To-Do: Arrange the blogs and make sure everything is present accordingly and arranged properly
Reflection:
We are finally done this week, and I'm working on finalizing the editing. The CR is completed, the planning we did on the docs were very helpful as a backbone of my essay. Overall, it was Amazing! Well done to all of us, very happy with the end results! This is exactly what I envision our product will turns out like! I worked on the music video, so I expected it to be good, but digipack which was done by my team was as good! I'm very satisfied. I will definitely do this again but with a better production team and more profesionally. One problem however, during our final filming on Tuesday somebody tried to play games which messed with the whole process. Thankfully, I was able to figure something out regarding the missing scenes and proceed to finish the MV, and also because we already had the monday filming which covered the most important scenes which is the ending. I’ve never reported Kaka directly before, but this time, I feel like I have to. His behavior has been a problem for a long time, he doesn’t take things seriously, plays games, and disregards our work. But this week, he went too far. He deliberately wasted our time, lied about picking up Jaden for the filming, and completely disrupted our final filming session. This isn’t just frustrating, it’s damaging to our project, and potentially our grades and it’s not the first time. I’m really sick of it, and I think serious action needs to be taken so he understands that this isn’t okay. BUT, as for now I'm too tired to be mad and I'm just glad we're able to finish this on time and getting this over with.
Next time, if there is even a next time, I will be choosing my team wisely and not because they're simply my friend or because we sat on the same table. Anyways, I'm very glad of Carrick in becoming the team's pillar alongside with me, without him I wouldn't have made it to finishing the project complretly honestly. Thank you for our sleepless nights together working for the team and having to deal with the same stress. Jaden is the goat because he's just being himself and tried to be helpful without trying to drag the whole team to a hell hole, thanks.
